The 1st Satin Finish W Silver Eagles - 2006 to 2008

The special finish of the Burnished Silver Eagle is produced by the U.S. Mint through the use of sand-blasted dies and heavily burnished coin blanks -- the result of this process is a stunning, almost frosted looking coin that has a beautiful matte-like finish.

All coins struck for the U.S. Mint sets from 2005 to 2010 had this impressive finish, and many experts have stated that the 'Satin Finish' style strike of the Burnished Silver Eagle brings out a level of detail rarely seen in the Silver Eagle Series.

These Silver Eagles also possess the coveted ‘W’ Mint-Mark exclusive to the West Point Mint. The Mint-Mark was added to help collectors know which Silver Eagles were the rare Burnished ones — as if the distinct new look could ever be mistaken for a regular issue uncirculated Silver Eagle!

Each set includes one Burnished Silver Eagle from the first three years of it's production (2006, 2007, 2008).Each Burnished Silver Eagle will arrive in its original U.S. Mint government packaging.
