The Morgan Dollar is considered by many the "True" coin of the fabled Wild West. Made out of nearly 1 full ounce of .900 pure silver from the famous Comstock Lode silver discovery. It was 1st struck in 1878 and continued until 1904 and then again for one final year in 1921.
This Morgan dollar was struck at the Carson City Mint. The fabled Carson City Mint struck the Morgan dollar with fresh silver from the famous Comstock Load. Which was the largest silver hoard ever discovered in America. Its 1st year of production was in 1878 but it ceased production after 1885 and then started up again in 1889 through 1893. The 13 years of production only amassed 1.84 % of all Morgan dollars ever made. The Carson City Morgan dollar bears the "CC" mintmark. It can be located on the back of the coin below the Eagle...the "CC" mint mark is present above the letters "O" and "L" in the word "Dollar."
This 1892 Carson City Mint Morgan dollar is ranked number 25 with a mintage of 1,352,000. It also holds the place of 10 out of 13 from the Morgan dollars made at the Carson City mint.
