The Franklin Half Dollar is a truly beautiful coin that represents one of the most influential members of our great nation’s founding fathers. In fact, He was so influential and vital to our nation’s success that when they commissioned the Franklin Half Dollar to be minted in 1948, he held the esteemed distinction of being the only Non-President to ever be featured on a circulating U.S. Mint coin!

These special half dollars were struck from 1948 to 1963 and are true-blue historical pieces that embody the undying American Spirit that he possessed! Each of these special half dollars are sought after by collectors thanks to their rarity compared to today’s half dollars – Especially the 1948 and 1949 Denver Mint issues!

1948: Total Mintage of 4,028,600 ( Ranks 5th )

1949: Total Mintage of 4,120,600 ( Ranks 8th )
