Special Bicentennial Eisenhower Dollars
We have put together a handful of 8-coin collections of all the special Bicentennial Eisenhower Dollars released by the U.S. Mint in 1975 and 1976.
These coins featured a special Bicentennial design that had two different versions released -- these are known among collectors as Type 1 and Type 2.
The Type 1 coin featured lettering on the coin's reverse that had a blockier appearance, with letters that had no 'serifs' at the edges.
The Type 2 coin featured a much more refined lettering on the reverse, matching the style of lettering typically seen on the regular Eisenhower Dollar design.
All together they released eight coins between the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco Mints.
Each of our 8-coin sets will arrive with each coin in a new Defender Holder.
