Interesting Fact...
the United States Mint forgot to put the word "Cents" on the first Liberty Head nickel in 1883.
Con-men discovered that the coin was almost the same size as a $5 Liberty gold coin, so they gold plated the nickels and passed them off as "new" $5 gold coins!!!
The mint quickly caught on to this and corrected its error. They then added the word "Cents" to the reverse under the large "V" (Roman numeral 5). The original coin was only made for a few months and is treasured by collectors for its scarcity and unique history. It is seldom seen, so get yours today!
This coin is in uncirculated condition. Each No Cents Nickel is encapsulated for protection and presented in a display box.
