About this Product Full Product Name

The Peace Dollar is America's last circulating "Silver" dollar. It was issued to commemorate the declaration of Peace after World War I. The Peace dollar has 2 very unique inscriptions...On the Obverse, the standard inscription "In God We Trust" is actually written "In God We Trvst" with the "V" for Victory. Then the second, on the reverse, the simple inscription "Peace", which is where it's name derives. It was 1st struck in 1921 and continued until 1928 and then again in 1934 and 1935.

This Peace dollar was struck at the Denver Mint. The Denver Mint Peace dollar issued only 5 coins struck between 1921 and 1935. Accordingly, the Denver Mint only struck 20% of all Peace dollars ever issued. The Denver Mint Peace dollar bears the "D" mint mark. It can be located by looking on the back of the coin below the word "One". The "D" mint mark is present above the letters "O" and "N" in the word "O."

This 1926 D Mint Peace Dollar is ranked number 15 of 24 with a mintage of 2,348,700. It also holds the place of 3 out of 5 from Peace dollars made from the Denver Mint.

This Denver Peace dollar is in Circulated condition. It has full detail on both the obverse and reverse of the coin. This item will arrive to you in an airtight capsule and protected by a black velvet pouch.
