The Last 'Original' Peace Dollar Ever Made
The Peace Dollar was struck at the Philadelphia Mint from 1921 to 1935 -- and it was the last coin in the series that would go on to become one of the hardest to find today.
In 1935, the 'Mother' Mint struck a grand total of 1,576,000 Peace Dollars -- a small enough mintage to automatically make it one of the rarest Peace Dollars ever made.
When you compare it to the Peace Dollar series as a whole, it ranks as the 9th rarest of the 35 total Peace Dollars!
But when you take a look at the Population Reports of PCGS today, just a fraction are known to exist in MS63 or better condition:
Population Reports as of 03-03-2024: Just 8,532 are known to exist today.
That breaks down to just 1 in every 185 coins struck!
That is just 0.54% of the entire mintage!
Each coin will arrive certified by PCGS as being in MS63 condition.
