About this Product Full Product Name

The 1976 Bicentennial Eisenhower Dollar was struck in 1975 and 1976, in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Declaration of American independence.

The Obverse side of the coin uses the original Eisenhower dollar design, designed by the Mint Chief Engraver Frank Gasparro, featuring a bust of President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

The Reverse design, unique to the 1976 Eisenhower dollar, was created by Dennis R. Williams as part of a public design competition. The design features a depiction of the Liberty Bell overlapping the Moon.

All silver Bicentennial Eisenhower Dollars use the Type I design, with less distinct and less sharp lettering on the reverse of the coin than the Type II version.

Each 1976 Bicentennial Eisenhower Dollar comes encapsulated in uncirculated condition and with a protective black pouch.
