About this Product Full Product Name

The first baseball coin has a unique story. It was a special release silver dollar back in 1992 featuring a design of a pitcher firing a ball to home plate. Now the controversy - if you look at the John R Deecken design and compare it to the 1990 Fleer baseball card of Nolan Ryan (shown in photo) it looks like the same design, actually the exact design .. down to the wrinkles in the jersey! It is against the law for a living person to be placed on a US Coin - yet you see it right in front of your face. Well, it also explains why the US Mint didn't advertise it. And the mintage figures are very, very small. These Proofs are in brilliant condition and in original government packaging.

**Please note, this item does not come with the pictured baseball card. The card is shown for comparison purposes only.
