The year 2000 not only introduced the new millennium but it was also the 1st year of issuance of America's newest dollar, introducing the Golden Sacagawea Dollar.
This is a 2001 Uncirculated, Philadelphia Mint Sacagawea coin. Minted directly from the Philadelphia Mint in the year 2001.
The Sacagawea Golden Dollar is rated the most popular coin for the year 2000. This uncirculated coin will arrive to you in a protective airtite holder. Inside the holder, around the coin will be a black foam insert ring, this ring will ensure a snug fit so the coin does not move around inside the lens. This will assist in the preservation of the coin's condition and collector value.

Since it's inception, the United States Mint has produced three versions of this brilliant Golden Dollar. They are as follows; the first two produced generally for circulation purposes only, are known as the Philadelphia and the Denver Mint. These two versions of the coin were minted at the Philadelphia and the Denver Mints, are otherwise known as the "P" and the "D" Mint. The third was a special issue just for collectors, it is known as the Proof. This final and more valuable version of the Sacagawea coin was produced at the San Francisco Mint. The United States Mint hasn't released the Sacagawea Dollar into circulation since 2001...easily making the last 4 years (2002-2005) key years due to the extreme limited production. Only since 2002 have small quantities been made available and primarily only available for collectors.
