The changes will include, First Time Edge Incused Writing, which features the Mint Mark, Year and "E Pluribus Unim" inscribed on the edge.

The Coin Reverse, will depict various designs throughout the program celebrating important events and persons in Native American History; the phrase "United States of America," and the "$1" symbol.

The reverse design depicts a Native American man offering a pipe while his wife offers provisions of fish, corn, roots and gourds. In the background is a stylized image of the face of Clark's compass highlighting "NW." It includes the required inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and $1.

The coins within the set will consist of one of each from the following mints: Philadelphia & Denver Mints.
