2018 Fiji Tree Frog - Yellow Titanium

The Pobjoy Mint are kicking 2018 off with a bang! Fresh off their rousing success with the Titanium Marine Life Series, the Pobjoy Mint's newest coin from a brand-new nation to the titanium series: Fiji!

Fiji is an island nation that was settled over 140 years ago and features one of the most unique ecosystems on the planet, so when it came time to make titanium coins for the nation, they wanted to make sure they got their selections right! And boy, with coin #2 in the Fiji series they sure knocked this one out of the park (or more accurately, the canopy).

Each of these 2018 issues is struck from yellow-colored titanium and are incredibly rare with a maximum allowed mintage of just 7,500! Each of these stunning titanium pieces have an obverse design that displays the iconic Yellow Tree Frog sitting atop some leaves within its natural environment. The reverse of this titanium piece features the Fiji coat of arms: a heraldic design featuring a Shield with the cross of St. George, flanked by Fijian warriors, with a canoe above the shield.

This coin holds a unique position within the Pobjoy Mint's titanium series: it is just the second coin minted on behalf of the Island of Fiji! Combine its position in the titanium series with their extremely limited mintage of just 7,500 & these coins are sure to be one of the best coins of 2018!
