The Perth Mint is at it again, and is starting 2020 off with a bang (or rather, a Hop!). They have just released what will be one of the most sought after coins this year: the 2020 1 oz Silver Kangaroo! This stunning silver coin is in beautiful uncirculated condition and has a design displaying the iconic image of the world’s largest surviving marsupial, the Red Kangaroo! Combine one of the world’s favorite animals with the fact that it is struck from super-fine .9999 Silver and you have yourself the sleeper coin of the year!

The Australian 1 oz Silver kangaroo has always been a collector favorite, but a slight change to their production in 2016 kicked these coins into rarified collecting air...they are now one of the first bullion coins to be minted from .9999 fine silver (yes, that is not a typo, four 9’s!). Obverse: Displays a likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, and the face value of the coin.

Reverse: bears an image of the iconic Red Kangaroo, originally designed by Dr. Stuart Devlin, surrounded by a special radiating design meant to symbolize sunlight. There is also a very small "P" mint mark appearing under magnification as proof it was struck at the Perth Mint.
