2020 Innovation Dollar - Rev Proof - #4 South Carolina - NGC 70

The final coin released in the 2020 Innovation Dollars collection was a special piece honoring the famous educator and Civil Rights Activist Septima Poinsette Clark! She is one of the most well-known educators in the history of the country and played an integral role in teaching literacy and citizenship rights to an entire generation of Americans! The design of her coin depicts Septima Clark marching with three young African American students who carry books and an American flag, representing that education and literacy among oppressed people is necessary for empowerment and enjoyment of civil rights

Starting in 2019 each year four coin designs will be issued, with one for each State and United States Territory being produced (similar to the U.S. State Quarter Series that began back in 1999). The reverse design of each dollar will be unique to the state or territory, with a common obverse depicting the Statue of Liberty that will appear on every coin struck in the series! These coins will be struck from 2018 to 2032, with a total of 57 unique coin designs (Counting the Inaugural release design)!
