2022 Somalia 1oz Silver Elephant - Uncirculated

It is still the year 2021, but the brand new silver coins of 2022 have already started to make their mark! One of 2022’s newest silver wildlife coins has finally arrived, and boy was it worth the wait!

We are proud to introduce 2022’s first Silver Wildlife coin: the 1 oz. Silver Somalia Elephant!

The Silver 1 oz Somalia Elephant series began way back in 2004, and have increased in popularity every-single-year! In fact, they were only produced in extremely limited mintages from 2004-2009, when collector demand became so high that they had to multiply their product by more than 25 times (And this time they wisely removed the mintage limits!).

Every year since they have been introduced they have created on average 80,000 to 120,000 per year which makes them incredibly rare when compared to the #1 Silver dollar in the world, the 1 oz. Silver Eagles from the U.S. Mint!

2022’s new design is truly breathtaking—it features an incredibly detailed Mother elephant and her calf walking through the African wilderness with some Mountains and Acai trees in the distance with a few birds flying overhead. The Coin’s Weight (1 oz.), Purity (999.9), ‘African Wildlife’ & ‘Elephant’ are also struck into the coins obverse. The Reverse of the design features the coat of arms for Somalia, the denomination (100 shillings), and the inscription ‘Somalia Republic 2022’.’
