After two wildly popular collector's series with the State and National Parks quarters, the U.S. Mint knew there was only one coin that could follow in their footsteps -- the coin that started it all: the Washington Quarter!
This meant the 2021 silver Proof Set would be the first time we had a true 'Washington Quarter' since 1998!
These new-design coins feature General Washington himself and depict him during the defining moment of his military career that turned the tide of the Revolutionary War: the night-time Crossing of the Delaware River during the Battle of Trenton.
But that is not all -- these coins also feature the original John Flanagan’s depiction of George Washington’s bust that was used on the original 1932 quarter.
The 2021 Silver Proof Set had a total mintage of 305,874 sets -- making it not just the 3rd-ever Silver Proof Set struck in .999 fine silver ever made, and the 1st and only set to feature the 'General Washington' Quarter -- it is also one of the rarest since the sets reintroduction in 1992!
Each 2021 Silver Proof set will arrive in its original U.S. Mint government packaging.
