1892 Barber Half Dollar - 1oz Copper Medallion

The Barber Half Dollar was introduced by 1892, and was issued until 1915. It is named after it's designer, the Chief Engraver, Charles E. Barber. The obverse design is Liberty with a cap and wreath. This figure was inspired booth by classical Greek and Roman models. The reverse a heraldic eagle similar to that features on the Great Seal of the United States.
