About this Product Full Product Name

The Walking Liberty Half Dollar is considered by many the "Most Beautiful U.S. Coin" ever produced. It was the last coin re-designed as part of President Roosevelt's coinage modernization project started in 1908. The design was so popular that when the U.S. Mint created The American Eagle Silver Dollar program in 1986 they utilized the Walking Liberty design.

The Walking Liberty Half Dollar was issued between 1916 and 1947. It weighs 12.5 grams of .900 fine silver, with a diameter of 30.6 mm ... a net silver content of .36169 ounces. It was struck at three US Mints: Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco. On 1916 and some of the 1917 issues the coins mintmark is located on the obverse below the motto "In God We Trust." The later part of 1917 forward the coins mint mark is located on the reverse to the left of "H" in "Half Dollar" - approximately 7 o'clock.

This Walking Liberty Half Dollar is in circulated condition and encapsulated.
