We Are Proud to Announce the Introduction of NGC's Newest Grading Service: NGCX!
This new grading scale makes NGC the first numismatic authority to grade coins on a 10-point scale – bringing it in line with other modern grading services for sports memorabilia, trading cards, comic books and more!
Since its founding in 1987, NGC has been a world leader in third-party coin certification because of their constant innovation and collector focus – with the new NGCX being only the latest example.
We are proud to be one of the 10 companies chosen to work directly with NGC on the rollout of this new and exciting program and look forward to sharing more details as the program kicks off with a bang in 2023 with the new Silver Eagles!
The New 10-Point NGCX Grading Scale:
This new 10-Point grading scale will not replace the tried and true 70-point Sheldon scale that collectors have been using for decades – it is a new addition to NGC’s world-leading coin certification services.
While there is no difference in quality between a grade on the new NGCX 10-point scale and the 70-point Sheldon scale, the difference for new collectors is exponential! This new scale will expand the hobby of coin collecting and give new collectors a clear path to embrace numismatics – that path is NGCX.
After all – who doesn’t want a coin that is a Perfect 10!
