The First S Mint Uncirculated Quarters
in Over 50
Years
How do
you take the #1 coin program in US Mint history and make it even better?
You
release an unprecedented first...
The
San Francisco Mint - Uncirculated Series
If your
first thought is a San Francisco Mint Quarter is not a first - you are correct.
Since 1968, the only Quarters issued at the San Francisco Mint have been the
special proof editions ... well in 2012, in conjunction with the
50 State Quarter Series II / America's National Parks, the San Francisco Mint is
releasing 5 special uncirculated quarters, one for each of the year's states:
Puerto Rico, New Mexico, Maine, Hawaii and Alaska.
An
Uncirculated Release - Not for Circulation!
Making
these S Mint issues even more unique is the US Mint is not releasing them into
commerce. So if you haven't heard about them, you might not and you definitely
won't see one in commerce!
The
Rarest State Quarters
San
Francisco Mint Proofs are always the most limited strike each year. This
uncirculated series follows suite. By not being released into circulation their
numbers will be extremely low. Some of the lowest Uncirculated State Quarters in
Series I (Tennessee, Illinois, and the Virgin Islands) are selling for $80 to
$100 a roll, if you could even find them. And they have mintages of 286 million,
225 million, and 41 million respectively. These Uncirculated S Mints will be
under 1.5 million per state!
This Uncirculated Set consists of all 5 coins fresh out of US Mint rolls. Don't
miss out on the Rarest State Quarters to date! This 5 coin set comes presented in our custom lens packaging.
