Since
their launch in 1999, the U.S. Mint’s State Quarter Collection has been without
a doubt the most popular coin programs in their long and storied history. With
five coins per year, and one coin for each of the 50 states and 6 U.S.
Territories, these special quarters were the absolute King-of-the-Hill for
everyday collectors.
The
follow-up to this popular collection was the stunning America The Beautiful
coin program which started in 2010. The America the Beautiful Program shifted
the focus from the states themselves to the national parks and monuments within
each state, releasing 5 new coins every year until 2021.
2019 saw the America the Beautiful coin series break new ground for the
U.S. Mint: the creation of the first ever circulating West Point Mint-Mark
Quarters! Until then, there had never been a quarter in U.S. Mint History struck
at the West Point Mint with the ‘W’ mint mark!
We
